FRIENDLY MATCHES
These are not 'Fund Raising' Events in the usual sense. However, they are a fantastic start to our second season, of having an actual Bowling Green:-
We have had exciting communication from one of the local Bowling Green Clubs - namely Express and Star -who have their Green in Danescourt Road, Tettenhall. Express and Star expect to open their Green for playing, mid March 2019. They wondered if Brewood Bowling Club could organise enough Members, to go over to Tettenhall and play a friendly match against them. We immediately said "YES"!
We already have enough Members interested, to allow us to arrange a possible two pre-season friendlies.
If Express and Star agree, it is hoped that we can arrange for each match to take place during the afternoon on two of the following dates:-
Thursday 14th March
Wednesday 20th March
Thursday 21st March
Wednesday 27th March
Thursday 28th March
It is intended that, once our own Green is open for the 2019 season, we invite Express and Star to Brewood, for return friendly matches.
In fairness to our existing Full (Playing) Members, the invitation to take part in any of these matches is open to Brewood Bowling Club Members only.
Also, any 'follow up' friendlies will also only be open to Full (Playing) Members.
Any Full (Playing) Members, who are interested in playing in any of these matches, please contact Helen on 01902 850188.
However, everyone (Members and Non-Members) are cordially invited to come and watch. You never know - you Non-Members may 'get the bug' 😃

As promised, below are the dates, times and venue for the friendly matches against Express & Star Bowling Club:-
First match: Wednesday 20 Mar 2019. Time 1300 hrs
Second match: Thursday 28 Mar 2019. Time 1300 hrs

If you are interested in playing in either of these matches, please contact Helen Skidmore 01902 850188. She will need the names of ALL those interested in playing by Monday 18 March, at the latest.
We look forward to Bowling Club Members and any non-members, just popping along to watch and enjoy any of the afternoons games.
